A chapter in Sydney’s story

Cities write their stories in urban design. The familiar pathways are bedded with foot traffic that can’t imagine the concrete threads any other way. The same goes for buildings. City edifices are rarely viewed from a different vantage point. We see them from our height, our standing, our reality. Unimaginable any other way. Why? Because they are the landmarks of our memories.

This is Sydney’s story and it’s unimaginable without a few chapters dedicated to Australia Square.

The power of iconic urban scapes, like Australian Square, comes from our life among them. As we fill the empty spaces with the buzz of life and business, we write our own legacy into the story of the building.

This may be the place where your company vision begins to take shape, your skills expand while your team diversifies, you speak to an idea that is felt by the whole room … you become part of the story of Sydney.

Sparking the modernist movement in architecture

Harry Seidler and Pier Luigi Nervi certainly made their mark on Sydney. When their vision for the city’s first high-rise office tower materialised between 1962 and 1967, it was admired as the beginning of the modernist movement in architecture.

The duo won the prestigious Sir John Sulman Award from the Royal Australia Institute of Architects. Globally recognised for its lightweight circular structure, Nervi ceiling design, and dedication to public spaces, this distinctive building changed the landscape of Sydney’s CBD and George Street.

As we fill this iconic space with the buzz of life and business, we write our own legacy into the story of Australian Square.

Your legacy written into history

Australia Square is a centrepiece for community and cultural experiences. This magnetic precinct draws people in from all over the CBD—restaurants, bars, globally renowned sculptures, and impressive architecture.

For those on the inside, the wellness centre and food court play leading roles. Supported by a personalised concierge service, revolving restaurant, and exclusive events; Australia Square is a commercial hub that many describe as a metropolis landmark.

It’s one thing to visit Australia Square but quite another thing to be part of it.

The George Street Influence

Australia Square is a product of its inspiring surrounds. Even the life that moves through the building takes influence from the rapture of George Street. Warm nights at Martin Place, milestones marked at ivy precinct, and fashion gems unearthed at MetCentre. The centre of Sydney is populated with the stoic characters of an urban life well lived.

The building itself mirrors the shapes and colours of its George Street home. There’s the iconic arches of the Sydney Opera House, the energetic hum of Barandoo and The Domain, and the vibrant colours of The Royal Botanic Gardens and Hyde Park. These landmarks don’t exist in silo, alongside Australia Square, they are the landscape of a city story.

In every direction

The energy of George Street moves inside the parameter of Australia Square. With dining, art, and retail, this precinct integrates offices with public spaces. Start your day with an early breakfast and barista coffee, reboot your afternoon with a nourishing lunch, and slow down with an evening meal. It’s all possible here. You can even get corporate catering delivered straight to your boardroom.

Events and community

The essence of a story comes from the people you write it with. This community grows and changes with every new experience. The experience of Australia Square includes a full calendar of events and activations throughout the year. From ice cream carts to quarterly networking events, cultural experiences, and festive giveaways. This building is alive in the connections it fosters.
