Occur Clothing launches newest collection in weekend pop-up

Next weekend, 20th and 21st March, Occur Clothing is set to launch their limited collection, Mentally Drained, in a West Perth pop-up store.

Designed, concepted, and owned by West Coast Eagles graphic designer, Kyle Bennetts, Occur’s newest collection is inspired by his experience as a career creative during lockdown.

“During lockdown last year, the sports industry took a hit and that included the creative teams. I had a lot more time on my hands and it gave me a chance to reignite my creative voice in clothing design,” says Kyle Bennetts.

On the back of his latest sell-out collection, Back to the Stone Age, where Bennetts explored the need for a cultural reset, his newest collection extends that idea into the depths of our minds.

“Mentally Drained explores the expectation to always be on, and what that does to us. It’s about the currency of creativity and how inspiration fits, or doesn’t fit, in that world. It may seem a bit abstract, but everyone can be creative if we’re not too mentally drained.”

The collection launch will kick off on Friday night with an invite-only event supported by Gage Roads.

Occur’s pop-up shop is open to the public from 10am Saturday, and 11am Sunday. 388 Newcastle Street, West Perth.
