Before we were Blakemere

we were Velocious and then Proserv Australia. Our history under these company banners has meant that we’ve tracked 13 years of success in our native subsea environment. Under Velocious we were able to fill a gap in the market; a gap that was seeking high quality, rapid engineering services for the domestic subsea sector. Our team became leaders in the industry and retained this position under Proserv while also acquiring a global footprint. While the access to overseas projects and non-traditional products and services brought a wealth of knowledge to our work, Proserv’s global restructure gave us pause. In favour of autonomy, scale, and market diversity; the Australian entity was purchased in 2019 and is now Blakemere.

How we operate 

is driven by our values and principles. Rather than abstract words we wrote once in a boardroom and never looked at again, our values and principles are tangible. They are the way we think and the way we perform for our customers. Firstly, we have ownership of the solutions we provide. There’s never been a set-and-forget mentality; when we take on a project, we are invested in the outcome and the ongoing success of our work. We also don’t work with heavy hierarchy that prevents progress; creative problem solving is where we reside and how we get the best results, quickly.  

We are engineers; practical, multi-skilled, agile, and passionate engineers who are personally invested in all our solutions and thrive on a challenge.

It’s business, but for us, it’s personal.

The flow of work

begins with a concepting session to deeply understand the need. Identifying your key drivers and unpacking the problem in collaboration means that we can act quickly without inertia. We present a solution and move straight into building the equipment. While every project moves differently, we know that flexibility is key in responding to new challenges and bends in the brief as they arise.
